During private Alexander lessons, you will be guided through simple movements, like sitting and standing, learning how to develop the skills to change your own bad habits and bring about a more poised, dynamic, and efficient way of standing and moving.
You will be taught how to work on yourself in movement and while lying down in a semi-supine position.
Have an activity you would like to apply the Alexander Technique to? We can use the last part of a lesson to work on improving how you use yourself in that activity so you can gain greater control and ease.
Many students see benefits with weekly 45-minute private lessons, though some students may choose to come more or less frequently. Useful insight can be gained from a single class, but a series of 10 to 20 classes is recommended to make long-term changes in how you use yourself.
